2013 – En el mar no hay ramas, Zavaleta Lab, Buenos Aires
En esta muestra convivieron varias piezas distintas. Les visitantes tenían que abrir una estructura liviana que al moverla rozaba un objeto, generando un sonido constante. Al estar ubicada en la entrada de la sala, la interacción era inevitable. Luego, al ingresar a la sala, había dos estructuras más similares a la de la entrada. Las piezas conformaban un grupo de tres “instrumentos”, cada cual con un sonido diferente. Luego aparecía una gran pieza, cambiante según las condiciones del clima: una bolsa preparada con papel de regalo adherida a la ventana que estaba en constante transformación visual y sonora. En las paredes se presentaron varias obras que representan tres de las expresiones más frecuentes del trabajo de Juliana: retratos de árboles, pinturas de sonidos, y trabajos derivados de su investigación en papel. La artista hace años que pliega, corta y teje el papel en sus obras.
Este conjunto tenía como objetivo sumergir a los visitantes en un espacio de cambios sutiles, inevitables y permanentes.

This exhibition brought together several different pieces. Visitors had to open a lightweight structure that, when moved, brushed against an object, generating a constant sound. Being located at the entrance of the room, interaction was inevitable. Upon entering the room, there were two more structures similar to the one at the entrance. The pieces formed a group of three “instruments,” each producing a different sound. Then, a large piece appeared, changing according to the weather conditions: a bag prepared with gift wrapping paper attached to the window, undergoing constant visual and auditory transformation. Several works were presented on the walls, representing three of the most frequent expressions in Juliana’s work: tree portraits, sound paintings, and works derived from her paper research. The artist has been folding, cutting, and weaving with paper for years. This ensemble aimed to immerse visitors in a space of subtle, inevitable, and permanent changes.
